ClearPoint Marketing Communications

Strategy comes first.
Consistency is key.
Relationship matters.

Strategy

The first thing we do with each new client is look squarely at where you are and where you want to go. That might sound simple, but it’s seldom done. Small businesses are stretched thin enough as it is, and if you need a website or online leads it’s tempting to grab a developer or PPC firm and get back to business. The missing link: How does any of it fit into the big picture? How is it helping you meet your business goals?

For us, the big picture is precisely the point. So we start with three critical questions.

  1. Where do you want to go? This means clarifying exactly what you want to accomplish. More leads? Higher traffic? Better retention? Larger sales? We ask our clients to nail this down and fill in the numbers.
  2. Where are you now? Before embarking on any new marketing initiative, you need a clear assessment of your current situation. How do the numbers compare to what you want to achieve? What marketing have you done before? How did it perform? How did you track results?
  3. What do you have to work with? Realistic goals demand a realistic understanding of the resources you have available. Do you have a marketing plan in place? Staffing support? Internal systems for sales and customer service? A realistic budget?

From there we map out a digital and creative strategy that delivers results, with a solid return on investment.

Consistency

Every client we work with has a unique story to tell. That core message is the thread we use to stitch your strategy together.
Because it’s better to stick to your message and stick to your plan than to try things sporadically and then quit, we focus on consistency across tactics and time.

Just as important as being consistent in your brand – your core message – is being consistent in how you put it out into the world, from collateral to website to public relations and social media. How well do all the pieces fit together?

Relationship

We see our role as facilitator and guide, not standoffish expert. We like to work together as partners with our clients. We find that’s the best way to help you meet your goals.

And while we’re happy to handle one-off projects if needed – create a logo, design a website, develop a social media strategy or write a marketing plan – we much prefer working with clients on an ongoing basis. This allows us to understand your big-picture marketing, even if we don’t handle all the parts of it ourselves.

Best of all, it allows for a deeper understanding of your vision. And that leads to a more meaningful and supportive relationship over time.
